Can I Donate Plasma is a free tool for plasma donors to:

Check eligibility to donate plasma based on age, weight, recent travel, recent tattoos, vaccination history, surgical history, and other relevant factors
Understand the meaning of plasma donation deferrals and what to do before the next attempt
Look up medication-specific eligibility information
Ask free-text follow-up questions about complex personal situations through an AI-powered system
Track deferrals over time and identify patterns (for account holders)
Schedule eligibility reminders for temporary deferrals (for account holders)
Save inquiry history for future reference (for account holders)
Access educational content about plasma donation eligibility, deferrals, and related topics

The Service is provided free of charge.

3. Critical Disclaimer — Not Medical Advice

The Service does not provide medical advice. The Service does not qualify you to donate plasma. Final eligibility to donate plasma is determined by center medical personnel at your donation center.

4. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.

Account creation requires:

You are responsible for:

Keeping your email account secure (since magic link authentication relies on email access)

5. Your Content and Ownership

By submitting content to the Service, you grant Liters Inc. a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

Store, process, and display your content as needed to provide the Service to you
Process your content through our AI integrations (Anthropic Claude and Perplexity) to generate answers
Use aggregated and de-identified versions of your content to improve the Service, including AI training and product development

This license is limited to operating and improving the Service. We do not claim broader rights over your content.

Your individual identifiable content is not used for AI training without your explicit consent. If we ever wish to use identifiable user content for training purposes, we will request opt-in consent from you in your account settings before doing so.

You may delete your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy, which removes your content from our active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.

6. Acceptable Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: obtaining educational and illustrative information about plasma donation eligibility in the United States.

The AI-powered features (free-text questions and medication queries) are designed to politely refuse and redirect requests outside the Service's scope. This refusal mechanism is part of the Service.

7. Accuracy of Information

The Service synthesizes information from authoritative sources (FDA, PPTA, state regulations, published chain policies) using AI integrations (Anthropic Claude and Perplexity). We make reasonable efforts to ensure information is current and accurate.

The Service does not:

Access live data from individual plasma centers
Have direct knowledge of unpublished chain policies or recent policy changes not yet indexed online
Account for individual medical circumstances that only a healthcare provider or center medical personnel can evaluate
Guarantee that information matches the specific eligibility determination you would receive at your donation center

You acknowledge that:

Information may be incomplete or outdated
AI-generated answers, while grounded in cited sources, may contain errors
Eligibility rules vary by center, chain, and state in ways the Service may not fully capture
Final eligibility is always determined by center medical personnel, not by this Service

You agree not to rely on this Service as a substitute for direct verification with your donation center and consultation with your healthcare provider.

8. Account Deactivation and Deletion

You may deactivate your account at any time through your account settings. Deactivation is reversible within 90 days by logging back in. After 90 days, deactivated accounts are automatically marked for permanent deletion.

You may permanently delete your account at any time through:

In-app deletion via your account settings (immediate, irreversible)
Email-based deletion request to info@liters.xyz from your registered email address

Permanent deletion is processed within 30 days for active systems and 90 days for backups, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, content, branding, and features, is owned by Liters Inc. and protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

"Can I Donate Plasma," "Can I Donate," "Straw," and related logos and branding are trademarks of Liters Inc. You may not use these marks without prior written permission except as required to identify the Service.

Educational content, mini lessons, and original written materials on the Service are copyrighted by Liters Inc. You may view and share individual lessons for personal, non-commercial use but may not republish, modify, or redistribute them for commercial purposes.

AI-generated answers based on your queries are provided to you for personal use. You may save, download, or share specific answers for personal informational purposes.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service contains links to third-party websites including straw.community, plasmadonationtax.com, the FDA, PPTA, state health departments, plasma center websites, and other educational resources.

We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms and policies.

11. Communications from Us

By creating an account you consent to receive the following emails:

Magic link authentication emails when you log in (essential to the Service)
Scheduled eligibility reminder emails (only if you opt in by scheduling a reminder)
Welcome email sequence over your first seven days
Saved result emails (only when you choose to save a specific answer)
Important service announcements including changes to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or the Service itself

You may unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time through your account settings or by clicking unsubscribe in any email.

12. Availability and Changes to the Service

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and functional but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

INFORMATION WILL REFLECT THE CURRENT POLICIES OF YOUR SPECIFIC DONATION CENTER
DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED
THE SERVICE OR SERVERS ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS

YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE CREATES ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LITERS INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

LOST INCOME RELATED TO PLASMA DONATION DECISIONS
LOSS OF DATA, INCOME, OR OPPORTUNITY
DAMAGES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT
DAMAGES RESULTING FROM SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS OR UNAVAILABILITY
DAMAGES ARISING FROM ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR INACCURACIES IN AI-GENERATED RESPONSES OR EDUCATIONAL CONTENT

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($100). BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS FREE, THIS LIMIT IS $100.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Liters Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

Your violation of any rights of another party
Decisions you make based on Service information
Health outcomes related to plasma donation decisions you make based on Service information
Disputes with your donation center, healthcare provider, or other third parties related to plasma donation

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Informal resolution: Before filing any formal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute by contacting us at info@liters.xyz. We will make a good faith effort to resolve the issue within 30 days.

Binding arbitration: Any dispute not resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in Sheridan, Wyoming or by remote proceedings. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver: You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis and not as part of any class, collective, or representative action.

Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property rights or prevent unauthorized access to the Service.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will:

Notify active users by email of material changes

Extended inactivity (24+ months with no login)

Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer page, constitute the entire agreement between you and Liters Inc. regarding the Service.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

No waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

No third-party beneficiaries: These Terms do not create any rights for third parties.
